HubSpot Tips & Tricks, Part 4. To support your transition to HubSpot, we’re sharing weekly tips and tricks.
HubSpot Tips & Tricks
In our last email, we described 6 easy steps to build and share forms in HubSpot. If you want the Harris branding and the ability to include text and images alongside your form, create a landing page to host your form:
Step 1b: Create a new landing page by cloning an existing page
Let's say that you previously built a HubSpot landing page for a different form, and now you want to use the same design for a new form. Easy! Simply clone the page.
Navigate to Marketing > Landing Pages and find the name of the landing page that you previously built. Hover your mouse over that row and click Clone.
If you clone a landing page, jump ahead to step 3.
Step 2: Choose a template
Select the Landing Page template from the list of Harris-branded templates.
Step 3: Add your form
Now you can start editing the landing page. By default, the page includes columns of text and images.
When hosting a form on a landing page, less is more. It's probably best to delete everything except the header and footer so that you can start from scratch, like the image below.
Now you're ready to add your form. Find the Form module and drag it onto the page.
After adding the Form module, select your form from the drop-down list.
Step 4: Edit the text & design
With your form in place, you can edit the page title and add additional text and images.
Step 5: Choose follow-up options
What would you like to happen after someone submits your form? You can display a thank you message or redirect to another web page. You can also send a follow-up email.
When you host your form on a landing page, the follow-up settings are managed in the Thank you section. You can see it in the bottom left in the image above. This is visible when the form is selected.
Step 6: Complete the settings
Navigate to the Settings tab at the top of the page and provide a page title, then you're ready to publish!
Pro tips:
You can require a password for the page by editing the advanced options at the bottom of the settings page.
You can schedule the page to unpublish on a specific date by navigating to the Publishing Options tab.
Step 7: Share your form
Publish the landing page and share the link with your audience!
That's all for today! We'll be back next week with more tips.
