This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Noam Angrist for an insightful discussion on his latest research, Human Capital at Home: Evidence from a Randomized Evaluation in the Philippines (Angrist et al., 2024). It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with his work alongside the What Works Hub for Global Education at Oxford. Grateful for the thought-provoking conversation and the chance to explore impactful global education research and implementation science together!

Welcoming Our New Post-Doc: Ritika Sethi!
We’re thrilled to welcome Ritika Sethi as a postdoctoral researcher at the Harris School of Public Policy, starting this July! Ritika’s research focuses on the economics of education, exploring how policy interventions—from information disclosure to integration—shape student decision-making. She also examines optimal early childhood education placement and the role of nutrition and healthcare interventions in improving educational outcomes for girls in developing countries.
Ritika holds a PhD in Economics from Rice University and an MSc in Economics from University College London. We’re excited to have her on board!
